L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash/ Caresse Wet Shine Stain Review

This is the corresponding blog post to my video review of the L”Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash, In the US named L’Oreal Caresse Wet Shine Stain. These are one of the many products that have come out this spring that I am absolutely loving! Find out why below!

Packaging
I really like the packaging of this product, it’s very sleek and looks great in my lipstick collection. The plastic it’s made out of does feel a little bit cheap and thin, however I don’t really mind because it looks so pretty! I do get a bit confused with the lid being at the bottom, as I always end up opening it upside down. It’s not a problem because the product stays nicely in the bottle, so doesn’t cause a mess.

Applicator
I love the applicator of this product! It’s the perfect size and shape and fits perfectly to the lips. The slight angle of it also makes it super duper easy to use. A lot of people have said that this product is a dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains, however I have only swatched the Glossy Stains in the shop. I do know that the applicator of this and the Glossy Stains is pretty similar.

Product
The actual product is quite thin and goes on sheer at first. One thing I love about this product is that you can build the opacity of it. You can apply up to 3 coats, leaving it to dry between coats, to create a nice opaque colour on the lips or just use one coat for a lovely subtle hint of colour.

1 Coat
2 Coats
3 Coats
It does feel a little bit sticky on the lips and also sets, but It’s nothing overly irritating and you soon forget about the feeling. It does stain the lips but not a lot. The more vibrant colours will stain more than the paler more neutral colours of course. It does stay on the lips for most of the day but like everything else it will eventually wear off. Usually it will take about 5-6 hours to wear off if your eating and drinking.

Overall I LOVE! these lip stains. I would say, having swatched the Glossy Stains many a time, that these are a pretty good dupe. L'Oreal own YSL of course so if your going to find a dupe for them L'Oreal is pretty good place to start. This a really unique product, ignoring the Glossy Stains, and is a definite must have for any girls Lipstick/Gloss collection.

So that is all for now, let me know If you’ve tried the Shine Stains/Wet Shine Stains.
