Online Style Saviours!

Are you like me and find fashion mind-boggling? No idea what jumper goes with what pair of leggings? Can you wear a skirt with that top? Does that colour go with that colour?

If your answers are yes, yes and yes then do not fear! Now that spring is springing away, it is time for a wardrobe overhaul. I can usually picture in my head what I want to look like, however I get into the shops and I feel like I’m lost in a sea of pastels and khaki.

Thank the fashion gods for style websites! If you watch the YouTuber Missglamorazzi, you may have heard of the website DailyLook.com. 

I had a look and fell in love! This was a website that told me what items of clothing went with what and gave me the option to purchase a whole outfit! Only one problem, I’m in the UK and DailyLook only ship to the US :(

In my frantic need for someone to tell me what to wear, I searched high and low for a similar UK website. I had no luck. The closest I could find was ShopStyle, a fantastic website that finds any type of clothing you are looking for. All you have to do is type in an item you’re looking for e.g. White cardigan, and it’ll search the entire web for items that match. This works best however if you have seen an outfit you wish to create, off the DailyLook website for example.

Then one day, whilst looking through my Facebook news feed, I saw one of my friends had liked a page called stylefruits UK. I thought, hmmm looks interesting. After having a quick peak at the pictures on the page, I clicked on a link that took me to www.stylefruits.co.uk. 

 

It was then that I realized I’d found it, the UK version of DailyLook. After being filled with pure joy, I had a look around the site. Similar to DailyLook, you can look at outfits that have been put together by other members.

When you click on an outfit you like, you will be taken to a page which tells you all the items in the look, how much they are and where to buy them. You also have the option to favourite the outfit or re-combine to make your own version.

Another feature I’m really liking on stylefruits is the create an outfit tool. Sometimes I’ll have an image of an outfit in my head but I’m incapable of actually picturing what it would look like put together. Or I’ll buy a jumper I love, but I don’t know what to put it with. This tool lets me create my own outfits and figure out new combinations for myself. Ultimately this tool is teaching me how to have some style.  

I would highly recommend stylefruits UK to anybody who wants to be stylish and fashionable but lacks the talent to do so, like me J Also check out DailyLook even if it’s just for inspiration!
