Getting Summery With Butter London!

I'm going through a bit of a nail polish obsession at the moment, I've made it my personal mission to find the best formulas and shades available, much to my bank accounts dismay.

I've heard so many bloggers and youtubers talk about Butter London polishes, but always wondered if they were worth the hype. I needed a few more summer polish shades and so decided to splash out on some Butter London goodness!

After a lot of Google imaging I decided to get the shades Trout Pout, Slapper and Jasper. All very different but equally as bright and colourful shades.

Trout Pout is a vibrant coral shade, not my usual choice as I don't really like pink nail polish, but it looks lovely on the nails.

I have a bit of a thing for blue nail polish, I'm just drawn to it and usually have to stop myself from buying every blue polish I see! I would describe Slapper as a bright sea blue; it has a slight greenish tone to it, which makes it a perfect summer blue. If you are in the UK and go to Pure Gym, it is actually the same colour as their lockers!

And finally Jasper, the perfect yellow shade in my opinion. Yellow usually looks horrendous on me; this is more of a pastel yellow, so it looks beautiful on the nails.

I love the packaging of these polishes, sturdy but elegant shape. Maybe a bit too bulky for some, but I love a good bulky packaging (don't know if that sounds a bit wrong :/) I was a little bit confused with the lid at first, unlike most polishes these guys have two different lids. A little bit unnecessary but it does stop the polish from getting on the packaging and making it look messy.

The formula is a little runny for me, I prefer thicker formulas like the Gelly nail paints by Barry M. The brush is also on the thin side, although it does allow more precision even if it does make painting your nails take a little longer.
So would I say these are worth the money you pay for them? The packaging is gorgeous and they do have some amazing shades in the range. The formula isn't my favourite but you can get a good opaque coverage with about 2 coats. I think if I had a bit of extra cash to splash then I may grab a few more shades, overall they're are a pretty average polish wrapped in a beautiful packaging.

RRP £12
($15USD, $22AUD, €15.05EUR)
Butter LONDON nail polishes are 3 free, they contain no formaldehyde, no toluene, no DBP (dibutyl phthalate)

Have you tried Butter London polishes? Do you think they're worth their price tag?
