So Much Buzzzzz | Honey By Marc Jacobs

There has been so much hype around this perfume, so much so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and purchase it. It started off with the big #MJHONEYSPOTS campaign which is where I first heard of it (It was a pretty big thing on Instagram). I will throw my hands up and admit that I'm not a fan of Marc Jacobs Daisy (I know, big shock seeing as everybody in the blogging world seems to own a bottle) I usually go for a more spicy deep scent and Daisy is a tad too floral for me.  My dislike for Daisy did make me a little apprehensive about trying this but you mustn't judge a perfume before you've had a sniff.

I sprayed this on myself in the shop to have a little test and at first I didn't really like it. I like the smell that it gave off initially, slightly floral and sweet, then the hit of honey came through and I wasn't keen.

As the day went on I let it settle, walking around the shops constantly sniffing my wrist (probably looked a little odd). By the end of the day I was undecided, part of me liked it and part of me just wasn't sure! It's definitely a lot sweeter than anything I usually wear but the honey scent started to grow on me. It does smell a lot like its predecessor, Dot, but with a sharper honey tone.

The bottle was the biggest reason for me deciding to take the plunge and get this. I'm a sucker for pretty perfume bottles and the cute plastic bumblebees on this had me sold. It does look like a yellow version of the Dot bottle, which makes sense seeing as it is an evolution of that scent. The size of the box is a bit OTT I have to say, I got the 50ml size and the box was mahoosive! Compared to my Jimmy Choo 100ml box it is way too big for the size of the bottle. Why so much box Marc Jacobs?

I have to say it has grown on me since buying it, I've been using it as my day perfume and I've been loving it. It is very sweet but has a warm charm to it that I really like. Not 100% sure if I would re-purchase it when I run out, I really like it, but there are other scents out there that I absolutely love and need in my collection.

What do you think of Honey? Love it or Hate it?
