Rimmel Dark Night Waterl-Oops!

This lipstick is widely known throughout the blogosphere, its rich plum hue has captured the heart of millions this A/W13. It has been spoken about to death on most blogs I've read, but I felt it important to give it its own little slot on mine.

Dark lips are a trend every autumn, and every year I set out on a mission to find the perfect plums and dark reds. Rimmel are my 'go to' brand when it comes to drugstore makeup and yet again they haven't disappointed.

Dark Night Waterl-Oops! Is the perfect rich deep plum, which packs a punch when it comes to moisture, what with it being one of the new formulas of Moisture Renew. The pigmentation is amazing and it's perfect for those who want a slightly darker, vampier version of Rimmel's equally praised Kate 107 lipstick. Yes, the 107 is a matte and this is all about the moisture, but they have a similar blue tone, which I love.

It is a pleasure to wear and feels comfortable on even the driest of lips, mine being one, but it does have its issues. The best way to keep this baby in place is to wack on some lip liner, I don't usually use lip liner but I found that without it, this would bleed pretty badly. It also wears away fairly easy leaving you with that odd halo of lipstick on your lips. It didn't surprise me that its staying power wasn't great, it is very moisturising so that usually lends itself to a fair bit of slipping and sliding. However, if you can get the knack of keeping this in place, it is a must have this A/W13.

Have you tried this yet? Do you love it as much as everyone else?
