Whenever I go to a party or out on the town I like to make sure I have the bare essentials. I've never been one of those girls to carry around a whole kit of makeup, I always have the intention to re-touch throughout the day but I always forget. However there are certain items I make sure I have just in case.
Concealer
I have very problematic skin so a concealer is a must when out. I don't want to look back on the pictures the next day and realise that I look like one big blemishy mess. I have two that I turn to in my times of need, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer.
Powder
To combat that shiny fod, powder is always handy when your out and people are snapping away with that unflattering flash. My mattifying powder of choice has been and always will be the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
Blush
My blush is the first thing I notice disappearing throughout the night, I like to take a small compact blush in my bag, preferably one that comes with a handy little brush.
Lipstick
Whatever lipstick you have chosen for that occasion, make sure it's stashed in you bag before you leave the house. There is nothing worse than nipping to the ladies and seeing you have lipstick halo. That weird ring of faded lipstick that encircles your lips when the lipstick in the centre has worn away.
Eyeliner
This is only if you have chosen to put it on in the first place. Eyeliner is pretty high maintanence really, you have to check that it hasn't glooped in the corner of your eye. Eyeliner, much like lipstick, wares away fairly quickly, what with you blinking and all. I wear a lot of eyeliner when going out so this is my number one essential.
Fragrance
The Travalo is your best friend, an easy way of carrying around your favourite scent without having to weigh your bag down with a big glass bottle. There is nothing worse than the sneaking suspicion you smell of sweat from dancing your little feet off, make sure you avoid this worry by adding a small bottle of fragrance to your bag, preferably in a non smash-able packaging.
