The Sunday Post: Escaping The City

First (and only) run of the week// Bunnies at Pets at Home!// Dunraven Bay// Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time// New video, what's in my bag?// Getting some blogging inspo//

This has been a rather productive week if I do say so myself. It started out with a rather unsuccessful run, but a run nonetheless. Moving on to the following day for an adventure outside of Cardiff! This was very exciting stuff seeing as I don't have a car here and transport is extortionate, resulting in my never leaving the noisy siren filled city. We had a little trip to Dunraven Bay, it stayed dry, wasn't too windy and I got a fair bit of filming done for one of my projects, success! If you have never been to Dunraven and you're not too far away, I would definitely recommend a trip. It was nice to have a little wander around and there are some castle ruins on one of the hills that holds a secret garden, very pretty and a photographers dream.

If you read last weeks Sunday Post you will know that my poor MacBook had a bit of a funny turn. I managed to book an appointment in the Cardiff Apple store to get it looked at and I have to say I am very very impressed. Be warned, I'm about to have a little gush about Apple so if you are an Apple hater, look away now. I went into the Apple shop at 11:30 with a dodgy screen, extremely nervous that they were going to tell me that my beloved MacBook, which is now just over 3 years old, was beyond all hope. That was not the case. After a few minutes of confusion and a bit of MacBook surgery, he told me they could fix it with no cost, despite my Apple Care running out just a meagre 8 days previously. So I left my little laptop in their fine hands for what I thought was going to be the longest 6-7 days of my life. Fast forward to 6pm the same day, I get a call from the Cardiff Apple store to tell me that I could go and pick my beloved Mac up! The service of the staff at Apple Cardiff was amazing and I have nothing but love and affection for Apple from this day forward.

How was your week? Has yours been a fairly positive 7 days or have you been counting the hours for it to be over?

  1. I love these kind of posts, sounds like you had a great week! I should have gone for a run this week but I've done nothing so don't feel too bad about your run! :) x

  2. I have to admit, I have never understood the whole 'Zelda' thing... more of a Call of Duty person myself.

    1. I can't play Call of Duty for the life of me. I'm that person that is stuck facing the wall crouching down and then gets shot haha Zelda is a lot more my level XD
