Every time I went into Boots I would have a little look at the Essie polishes, they sit in that brilliant white display with the bright lighting looking all wonderful and heavenly. Row upon row of unusual but easy to wear colours tempting me to take them home, but only one really grabbed my attention every time. That little polishes name is Cocktail Bling (Do you think this intro is a little bit too dramatic?) Cocktail Bling is a lovely pastel shade of steely blue. It is pretty much the colour of rain clouds, that's the best way for me to explain it anyway. A soft grey-blue that is perfect for the spring and its ever changing weather.
As with most Essie polishes it is a nice formula, not too runny but not too thick either. It usually takes about two coats to create a nice opaque colour on the nails; pretty average I would say for any nail polish. I do find that Essie polishes can chip fairly easily so I like to put a good topcoat on just to keep things fresher for longer.
It's a similar colour to a lot of my other polishes, but there is something a bit special about this one. I tried to find a cheaper version of this shade in other brands, but found that nothing could match it exactly. This will definitely be one of my most worn polishes this spring and I think it will continue to be a favourite through all the other upcoming months.
Such an absolutely beautiful shade! I've got my eye on far too many Essie polishes at the moment.
