Every Christmas I get Lush gift set after Lush gift set, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, it just means that I spend the rest of the year trying to get through the many products that come in them. Some don't hit the mark but then there are those that do, and when they do they do it ever so well. I've been getting through some of the endless tubs and bottles I have in my bathroom cabinets and these are the ones that have come out on top, the champions of skincare.
First of all we have the body lotions, something I don't use all that regularly due to my unadulterated laziness. These ones are the game changers though; I enjoy them so much that I don't mind spending those extra minutes slathering myself in moisturiser, top to toe. My absolute favourite for daytime body moisturising is the Vanilla Dee-Lite body lotion. This stuff smells divine and soaks in super quick so you don't feel like a walking, talking and sticky mess. Then we have the thicker lotions, the Celebrate lotion (only available at Christmas), which is specifically for the body, this gives amazing results but can feel a little sticky so is best to apply at night. Then we have the other thick lotion, Dream Cream. I use this mainly as a hand cream but occasionally I will apply a dollop to the old feet. It soaks in nicely and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth; I also prefer the smell of this one to the Celebrate.
Then we have the outsiders, the non-lotions. The Olive Branch shower gel is a very liquidy, olive oil body wash that actually lathers up impressively. It is much better used with one of those big poufy loofer things, as when you pour into your hand it will just run through your fingers and you'll lose most of the product. It smells a little bit masculine, quite a spicy scent, but it leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean. And finally we have the spot treatment, this stuff is more for those patient spot sufferers, it takes a while to do its job but it does it well. Grease Lightening is a thin jelly like substance that contains the wondrous tee tree oil which zaps those zits healing them in a gentle way so as not too leave any scarring.
I find Lush a little hit and miss, but when you find those gems that work for you they become life long staples!
Which Lush products can you not live without?

I just tried one of their masks for the first time, Catastrophe Cosmetic. Love it so far! My favorite is the Karma solid perfume.
ReplyDeleteYou have to give the Mask of Magnaminty a try - it's amazing!
