Top 5 Gifts Under £15: For Her

5. The Body Shop Almond Handy Manicure Set

Buying for other people can be extremely tricky, especially if you don't know them like the back of your hand. That's why I've picked out a few gems, all for under £15 and all amazing gifts for the women in your life.

When you're really stuck for gift ideas, it's always best to go down the beauty route. Everyone loves a good moisturiser, bubble bath or nail polish. The rule of thumb for me is, if it smells nice, it's a nice gift. That's why Lush is always a go to store when I'm looking to buy the females in my family a gift. Luckily for me, the women in my family (and there's a lot of them) all love a bit of Lush. This year I've got my eye on the Lush Golden Wonder Gift Set as the Golden Wonder bath bomb is one of my all time favourites. You can't go wrong with a fancy bath bomb and a multi-purpose bit of play-doh.

If the thought of heading into Lush at Christmas makes you shudder with fear, don't worry, there's other options. The first set that really caught my eye was The Body Shop manicure sets. They come in a bunch of different types including the Almond hand cream and the Hemp hand cream, both of which are amazing. You get a full size, 100ml hand cream, a mini nail buffer, nail file and some nail clippers. Everything you could need for soft and well groomed hands.

If you fancy a bit more luxury, then the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream set is great for someone who wants to give Elizabeth Arden products a test drive. In this set you get to try out the cult Eight Hour daily moisturiser, the skin protectant (which I swear by) and the hand cream. All amazing products in miniature size, perfect for throwing in your handbag.

Another amazing set is the Burt's Bees Tips & Toes set. I've only recently been trying out a few more of Burt's Bees skincare products, but I'm really impressed with what I've used so far. You get a whole host of different products in this set, ranging from two hand creams, foot cream, hand salve, lip balm and cuticle cream. So many products to try from a really great and natural company.

Finally, for all those beauty junkies, there's the Models Own gift set. This is great if you have a friend or family member who is nail polish crazy. There are so many different shades and every single one is a vibrant and beautiful colour. These are hyper gel polishes which means that not only will they have amazing shine, but they'll also have great staying power.

Do you have difficulty buying for the women on your Christmas lists? What's your go to female present?

Mother's Day Gift Guide Under £20

Mother's Day is one of those special days that I always forget, it's not until I see the massive signs being hung in card shops that I realise I better get my shop on. For Mother's Day I like to get small but meaningful gifts, I save the big things for birthdays and Christmas. That means that I like to keep my budget relatively small, so today I have put together a little gift guide under £20 for anyone else that likes to keep to a budget.

When it comes to buying gifts for mums, I always find that you have the good old classics to fall back on, smellies, chocolates and flowers. Bath bombs, salts, bubble bars and body wash are always good 'go tos' when trying to find a gift for any woman. There are always amazing gift sets available to pick from, like the Burts Bees set pictured above. Maybe there is a particular brand that your mum has wanted to try. Why not have a look for a little travel set so that she can test it out and not break your bank. Then there is chocolate and flowers, things that all women love to get. You can get gorgeous bouquets of flowers online fairly cheap theses days and they are usually pretty good quality, or just nip down to your local florist or supermarket and have a look with your own eyes. Chocolates can be a little hit and miss though, my mum is constantly on a diet so I have to gauge what she's eating, but there must be some sort of food she loves to snack on, or maybe she's partial to a tipple of vino?

Then we have the more personalised gifts, the ones that don't always fit to every mother. I've approached this by thinking what things my own mother would like. If your mum is like mine and has an e-reader, head on over to Etsy for some really unique and pretty cases, it may be something she would never think of getting for herself. Or maybe she loves to bake, the Great British Bake Off books are really good, they give very clear instructions on how to make amazing cakes and it means your mum will bake them all and you get to eat them, win win. And finally we have a bit of home fragrance, as soon as you walk through the door of my mum's house you are hit by a wall of fragrance, she's partial to a bit of glade. Scented candles are always a good choice for fragrance loving mums, especially if you're not too confident about buying perfume for other people.

So go ahead and treat your mum this Mother's Day, there are plenty of gifts out there that she will love and won't leave your purse weeping in the bottom of your handbag. Maybe be sneaky about it and show your mum how to use Pinterest, it may become very handy in the future.

What are you buying your mothers this Mother's Day? Are you doing it on a budget this year?

Stocking Fillers Under £15

This weekend is the last weekend before the big day, so for all of you last minute shoppers, I thought I would give you a hand and do a bit of shopping for you. If you are just braving the crowds for a few last minute trinkets, then here is a list of goodies to fill those stockings and all for under £15!

The number one gift for any fragrance enthusiast. The Travalo is honestly one of the handiest inventions for anyone on the go. Super easy to use and comes in a range of colours, it's not just for women, the man in your life can fill it with his favourite scent as well!

Fits perfectly in your handbag, the Tangle Teezer is a cult product in the beauty world. This also comes in a range of colours and patterns and has soft flexible bristles to allow easy, pain free brushing. I don't have particularly knotty hair, but when I go from using this to a normal brush or comb there is a huge difference.

The comfiest bed socks in the history of sock making! These chunky knit bed socks have suckers on the sole for grip on those slippy laminate floors. They also have the softest and warmest fleece lining inside to keep those tootsies cozy and warm.

Maybe on the larger side of the stocking fillers but this is my favourite gift set from Lush and would love to find it in my stocking. This set comes with the best bath bomb ever, Golden Wonder, along with the Luxury Lush Pud and Snowcake Soap.

This little gift set also comes in red or a mascara/kohl combo. The wine set is bang on the vampy lips trend this A/W and is prefect for any makeup lover.

The cheapest on this list, Soap & Glory is always a safe bet at Christmas. The body butters are all creamy, moisturising and smell amazing, so this little gift set is a sure win. This set contains the much loved Righteous Butter, Butter Yourself and Butterlicousness.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping? Or will you be one of those rushing out to grab some of these goodies?
