Get Ready With Me: Revlon 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Siren

I was getting ready for work this morning and found a little Revlon ColorStay 16hr Quad in Siren in my makeup collection. I realized that since I bought it I’ve probably only used it about 2 times!

And so I decided that whilst I was doing my makeup for work, I may as well do a little get ready with me post!

Without further a due, here is the look I created using the Revlon ColorStay 16hr Quad in Siren.

I started by applying colour 3 all over the lid using a Real Techniques domed shadow brush.

I then moved on over to colour 2, using it in the outer 'V' to give my eyes a bit of depth. For this I went with a MAC 219 as I have very small eyes, I find a pencil brush easier to use for defining.

To smoke out the lash line I used colour 4, which on the packaging looks like a dark purple, but in actual fact it is a matte black. I used my angled UBU brush for this, a little bit too big but the only other small angled brush I own.

Finally I took a little bit of colour 1 with a Real Techniques shading brush and applied it to the inner corners and a little to the brow bone.

I finished off with a thin coat of the new Chanel Le Volume De Chanel mascara, Rimmel Scandaleyes Khol eyeliner in black, MAC Cork & Brun on my brows, Rimmel blush in Pink Rose and added a little Nars lipgloss in Belize.

I would definitely recommend these Quads by Revlon if you're looking for high-street/drugstore eyeshadows. You can create some really versatile looks with them and make them as dramatic or work friendly as you like! The pigmentation on the darker colours could be a little better but they are still some of the best shadows I've used from the drugstores.

Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow is available from Boots and Superdrug here in the UK at £7.99.

*I am in no way affiliated with Revlon or any other cosmetic companies, my opinions are my own.

  1. Your eyes look gorgeous! I'm so untalented when it comes to eyeshadows, but your step by step made it look effortless :) Such a great post!
