The Sunday Post: Getting My Healthy On!

Trying avocado for the first time and I kinda liked it!// Bare faced selfie for cancer awareness// Throwback Thursday, my first holiday without parents!// Trying to break in my Dr Martens, yet again//

Well let's start with the negative; I failed at #100happydays after 6 days! I didn't even make it a week before I forgot all about it. I was actually surprised how hard it was, especially on days when I was indoors all day. But because I hate to fail at things I will be signing up to attempt it again and this time I am determined.

As for the rest of the week it's been a pretty normal week, a little bit of uni work a little bit of partying. We went out on Friday night as a course and I reached a whole new level of drunk, I can assure you it will never be happening again but at least I know my maximum limit so I can stay well away from it.

But apart from that little hiccup I've been attempting to get back into my healthy routine, I've gained about 10lbs since this time last year, which isn't too bad but I think it's time to be getting my body summer ready. I finally went to the gym and realised just how unhealthy I've let myself get so it's back to the NHS Couch to 5k podcasts to get my running back up to scratch. I do feel a lot better having done exercise and it makes a massive difference to my mood. I've also bought a lot of fruit from the market so I'm excited to get my diet back on track.

So the plan for the next week? Well I need to get a PowerPoint presentation made, I'm both dreading it and looking forward to it because I'll be talking about something I'm actually interested in, Fandoms! We also start filming for out dissertation film for uni, which is scary but also a relief that everything is so close to being finished.

What are you guys up to this lovely Sunday? Any exciting plans for the rest of the week?

  1. I've only ever had avocado in Mexican food, never on it's own, it's something I always wonder about trying more and never have! Good luck with your healthy kick, I could do with one of those myself. I ended up going on a roadtrip to a huge antiques mall today and have a couple of house viewings to find out first house this week lined up, certainly busy!

    1. It doesn't really have much of a taste in my opinion, it's more about the actual texture of it, makes it a good substitute for butter on sandwiches. I've never heard on an antiques mall, sounds fun! You definitely sound like you've got a busy week ahead of you! Enjoy!
